300 People Get Memorial Tattoo

Nineteen months ago Saginaw, Michigan, 25-year old Sean Stennett was killed while trying to save someone during a shooting. Now more than 300 people wear a tattoo to commemorate him in what they call “the Tribe of Sean Stennett.” The tattoos are copies of an inch-long tribal Polynesian tattoo originally sported by Stennett himself. According to Stennett’s father, at least half of the 300 tribe members knew his son personally. The others wanted to show a connection to the family and the message of the tattoo, which is “peace, love and unity.”
