Do you have any special training: I have been an artist a long time training along the way.
Tell us about the style of your work: Illustrative and Realism
Conventions usually worked: I stay local to North Carolina. Asheville has a great convention and I have worked at the Cape Fear convention in Wilmington.
Where did you apprentice?: Atomic Tatto's in Lakeland, Florida
What tattoo artist do you most admire: Jeff Gogue, he is an amazing artist!
Before someone gets a tattoo what advice do you give them?: I tell my clients to sleep well, eat well, and hydrate. I have a private studio that helps reduce anxiety levels of my clients but if you are not hydrated and alert, your session could be shorten due to low tolerance.
How did you get into tattooing: Being an artist, I crossed over into tattooing when fine art started to become incorporated into the designs. It's amazing what artists are accomplishing with tattoo's today.
What inspires you to be an artist: Boobs and Money. Hey, I'm a guy! Honestly, my clients.
What kind of tattoos do you look forward to doing: Right now a lot of my female clients are getting Mucha inspired pieces which I love to do, but I am partial to black and grey. Black and grey is classic and the pieces heal well.
Is there a tattoo that you haven't done yet that you are dying to do: I am starting a large piece this Spring. Spanning from the shoulders to the back of the knees. I am excited to get started!
