Artists: erik prz
What year did you start tattooing: 2010-01-01
Do you have any special training: Comic Illustration. Fine Arts Degree from CCC.
Where did you apprentice?: I never received a formal apprenticeship. I mostly hung out at a local shop for years learning and asking questions.
What tattoo artist do you most admire: I respect many artists for many reasons. I do not have a favorite artist.
Before someone gets a tattoo what advice do you give them?: Depends on the tattoo and location. There are some tattoos I refuse to do. I do not feel that a tattoo has to be significant to be meaningful. I have many tattoos I got on a last second thing, and still love em.
How did you get into tattooing: I worked a factory job for years, unhappy. Constantly getting in trouble for drawing on the job. My ex and I had this on going game, to see who could draw a better...whatever the design was for the day, while we were at work. I must admit, she got me many times. But anyways, she surprised me with a tattoo kit one day and the rest is history.
What inspires you to be an artist: Seeing the level of tattooing increase. Tattoos get more colorful, smoother, etc. You have to keep up or get left behind. No time to go stagnant!
What kind of tattoos do you look forward to doing: Anything I have drawn haha.
Is there a tattoo that you haven't done yet that you are dying to do: There are many tattoos I would like to do. I guess, I would say, watercolor style. For some reason, I find it fascinating.
