What year did you start tattooing?
How did you get into tattooing?
I started for fun. I was 17 and a graffiti artist. I had talent, so some of the older guys in my city asked me to draw for them.
Where did you apprentice?
I learned on my own.
Do you have any special training?
What conventions have you worked at?
Milano, London, Berlin, Las Vegas—I love it—and Paris.
Have you won any awards?
A lot, more than a hundred.
How do you describe your style?
I like to do realistic work with 3-D effects and my touch on things.
What inspires you as an artist?
What other mediums do you work in?
I paint, sculpt, and do photography—for fun, not business.
How have you branched out from tattooing?
I was a graffiti artist, then I started tattooing.
What kind of tattoos do you look forward to doing?
I prefer to do tattoos in my style. If it’s a tattoo I don’t like, I don’t do it. I have to like it.
Is there a tattoo that you haven’t done yet that you are dying to do?
I don’t have something in mind; it’s too difficult to tell. I have a lot, too many things.
You are sponsored by tattoo ink company Intenze—does using their ink in your work help better your results?
It’s very good ink, and before I was sponsored I was using it. It’s helped me a lot. The ink makes the artist. You always must have good ink.
