What tattoo artist do you most admire: My mentor andres has been an amazing teacher. his apprenticeship is notoriously hard and i knew this when i had began as he has a reputation for being very old school in his teachings. if you fuck up you get pressups, but his ability is amazing and he is a pleasure to work with. i also admire chris crooks from white dragon belfast as he is probably the best japanese tattooer in ireland.
Before someone gets a tattoo what advice do you give them?: dont follow the crowd. For the love of god please dont follow the newest fad!! research your artist and if your confident in them then let them have control.
How did you get into tattooing: i studied architecture in university in belfast and worked for a short white before i realised i didnt suit the business world. there was really very little art involved. i put together a portfolio and Dre was willing to teach me.
What inspires you to be an artist: watching my mentors ability to turn something into an amazing piece. also seeing some of the guys on instagram that blow me away. they keep me reaching higher and futher.
