Artists: Kenneth Brigdon
What year did you start tattooing: 2007
Tell us about the style of your work: Japanese, New School, Black and gray scale, but love bold colors that pop out.
Where did you apprentice?: Flesh Work Studios. A little shop in Richmond Hill Ga. That closed down after a two year ride.
What tattoo artist do you most admire: Hori Yoshi 3rd. Jared Hale, Shane Stafford, Taylor Elliot, Jordan Mays.
Before someone gets a tattoo what advice do you give them?: Make sure its a piece they will want forever and sit still.
How did you get into tattooing: I got my first tattoo when I was 16 by a guy who was well known around our area for doing cheap tats that were clean and cheap. I went to him laid down and just stared as he went to work. I tried studying what he was doing and soon after it was done I went back for another with a buddy of mine so I could watch him work some more on mine and my friends. I was hooked. I started watching videos online, and eventually bought my own kit.
What inspires you to be an artist: Anything really. I can go outside and it be a sunny day, I instantly get in a feel good moment and want to paint, sketch, and of course, tattoo.
What kind of tattoos do you look forward to doing: I love doing owl pieces. Ive done only three so far, one being on myself. But anytime someone comes to me and dont know exactly what they want, I try talking them into an owl.
Is there a tattoo that you haven't done yet that you are dying to do: Wolfs or Fox head pelts on a Framed Gypsy Woman head. Id love to slam one out because of all the color that is involved in the pieces, but no one has come to me wanting that type of piece yet.
