What year did you start tattooing: 2008
Tell us about the style of your work: I specialize in photo realistic tattoos. Love working in black and grey.
Conventions usually worked: I havent worked too many conventions. Ill be at the toronto show in June. Also the shop i work for (wizards world of tattoos) is co-hosting a convention with justin weatherholtz august 8th 9th and 10th. That will be in wyomissing pa. Its called Pagoda City Tattoo Fest. I will be tattooing there.
Where did you apprentice?: I apprenticed at Wizards World of Tattoos in south eastern pa under Joe Johns
What tattoo artist do you most admire: Joe Johns and Bob Tyrell
Before someone gets a tattoo what advice do you give them?: Dont over think it. Doesnt hurt as much as you think its going to.
How did you get into tattooing: I was working full time at UPS as a dockworker. My supervisor saw my drawings and told me i should be a tattoo artist. I told him "i dont think i can deal with that kind of pressure of putting something permanent on somebody". After about 3 weeks of him nagging me to go get an apprenticeship i went down to my local shop, which happened to be wizards world. Walked i and met Joe Johns. I showed him my drawings and he took me under his wing and taught me everything i know.
What inspires you to be an artist: Everything and Anything. Especially other artists
What kind of tattoos do you look forward to doing: Anything realistic. black and grey or color. Love the challenge.
Is there a tattoo that you haven't done yet that you are dying to do: Well up until recently it was an old school microphone. I just did my first one last week. But now im dying to do a big realistic eye.
