Artists: Paul Todd
What year did you start tattooing: 2010-01-01
Do you have any special training: A couple college prep art classes and a seminar here and there that's about it.
Conventions usually worked: I'm pretty fresh to the world of conventions. I have worked two so far. Baltimore Convention and Skindustry expo. I love the experience so I will definitely be traveling a lot more!
Where did you apprentice?: I went through a pretty easy apprenticeship here in Delaware. I'd say 99% of the things I learned during my training was self taught knowledge. No real structure to my apprenticeship so I got the ball rolling by myself.
What tattoo artist do you most admire: Nikko Hurtado, Jeff Gogue, Paul Acker. These artists create mind blowing clean work and keep a positive push forward attitude! They work hard and inspire me to do the same.
Before someone gets a tattoo what advice do you give them?: I definitely like to talk to people about their tattoo ideas if they aren't exactly tattooable. For the most part i might throw out there "its for life" once or twice and let them be. I try to produce the best tattoo for the client even if the tattoo idea might be a little off the wall, so long as the art work is good i guess its a win.
How did you get into tattooing: Being heavily into art as a child I got my first tattoo when I was 14. Which is way too early ha! It just clicked in my brain at that point how awesome it would be to make it happen. Although it took me quite a while to make it happen its better late then never!
What inspires you to be an artist: I'm inspired by other artists that put out amazing work and open my eyes. Life itself.
What kind of tattoos do you look forward to doing: Large realistic pieces, anything challenging!
Is there a tattoo that you haven't done yet that you are dying to do: YES!..I want to do a full sleeve of the movie SAW inspired pieces!
