What year did you start tattooing: 2006
Do you have any special training: I apprenticed as a tattoo artists for a year and then learned different styles from other artists such as "Bear" my original teacher, Gary Gray, Chris De Leon are a few to name off who have given me many pointers and advice throughout my career.
Tell us about the style of your work: I don't have a specific style. I try to be familiar with all forms of art and not settle on one set style.
Conventions usually worked: so far I have worked 2 conventions. one in minneapolis and one in kansas city.
Where did you apprentice?: In Appleton, Wi
What tattoo artist do you most admire: Christopher De Leon from Flaming Heart in Edinburg, Tx. He is amazing artist and such a down to earth person as well as a good friend.
Before someone gets a tattoo what advice do you give them?: Depends on the situation or placement. if its on their hands/neck/face and they don't have a large amount of tattoos i try to discuss alternative placements. if it's their first tattoo and are worried about pain, i try to discuss where the lesser painful spots are. i also discuss the importance of their aftercare as well, especially on the feet and depending on what season it is here.
How did you get into tattooing: I really have a passion for art and wanted to take it to the next level. Also it keeps me out of trouble!
What inspires you to be an artist: Seeing other artists work and admiring all forms of art.
What kind of tattoos do you look forward to doing: Aztec art has always grasped my attention!
Is there a tattoo that you haven't done yet that you are dying to do: There are so many! I find new ones daily!
