Artists: Victor Simione
What year did you start tattooing: 2005
Do you have any special training: I wouldn't say it was special training but I did attend DCAD for graphic design.
Tell us about the style of your work: Mainly consists of alot of custom lettering and bright and bold colorful work.
Conventions usually worked: I've worked about a dozen or so but my favorites are Philly and Atlantic City for sure!
Where did you apprentice?: I apprenticed under Carl Brennalt in DE when he used to own a shop that was there FOREEEVVERRR called Apex Tattoo. I worked with another guy named Vick who showed me alot of things also. Good times haha.
What tattoo artist do you most admire: Man thats a tough one but I'd have to say Dave Blows, Norm, Edek, Boog, Bert Krak soo many more!
Before someone gets a tattoo what advice do you give them?: Take a look in the mirror and make sure thats where you want it! haha
How did you get into tattooing: I honestly have no idea, sometimes I feel like I just woke up one day and this was my job. People that I have worked with over the years have told me "I've been wanting to do this since I was like a little kid!" That was never me I fell into it and started to think this isn't for me and then something clicked and being introduced more to the culture of it all and suddenly just thought "Man I could see myself doing this for the rest of my life!"
What inspires you to be an artist: Talking techniques with other artists, bullshitting and sitting there looking at facebook and instagram with other artists just thinking "HOW THE FUCK DID THEY DO THAT!" and then trying to replicate that look. Striving to be better then the last year. Finding artists that arent so full of themselves they can't even fit there big fucking heads through the door.
What kind of tattoos do you look forward to doing: More fun tattoos. More involved custom lettering tattoos. Anything with heavy black shading in it! haha
Is there a tattoo that you haven't done yet that you are dying to do: Lol theres too many tattoo ideas that I have tucked away in numerous folders and sketchbooks that I'm dying to do, but honestly will never be done on skin!
