A Fort Lauderdale tattoo shop made Friday the 13th a special occasion for its customers last week by offering them tattoos for only $13.
Formula Ink had many of its regulars lined up outside as artists worked on those eager to add some more ink to their collection.
Gwen Gersich, who works at the shop, said, "It's a fun way to give back." The tattoo deal was to show customers how much Formula Ink valued their patronage.
The size of the tattoos that were being drawn on customers were normally priced at $40-$50, so to get one for $13 was really a deal.
"People that are committed enough to make their bodies a canvas, that's commitment and loyalty," said Steven Weber, a Formula Ink regular who was looking to add another tattoo to his own canvas.
"Commitment" and "loyalty" can also be used to describe Formula Ink's customers. Around 100 of them showed up during the shop's last Friday the 13th event. With a turnout like that, it looks like this special shows no sign of stopping.
