Fans Get Team Gb Medal Count Tattoos

WRITER Jill Marino

The Olympics might be over, but for four fans, they will have a permanent reminder of how Team Great Britain did in the games.
Luke Williams, owner of Top Notch Tattoos in Llandudno, North Wales, got the idea for the medal count tattoo after chatting with his colleague Blane Dickinson, apprentice Jamie Priestnall, and customer Gavin Hughes. They were discussing how to honor the Olympics with a tattoo.
The men got the Team GB logo and a tally chart of how many medals were won total. Team GB received 29 golds, 17 silvers, and 19 bronzes. They would keep adding notches as the team kept winning medals.
Williams loved watching the games with his family and knew that it was history in the making. "We're just happy that we'll have a lasting memory of London 2012. It's never going to happen here again in our lifetime," he said, then joked, "Plus it'll be something funny to show the grandkids."
