A Lebanese man was sentenced to receive 200 lashes and serve a year in jail in Saudi Arabia for his undercover tattoo business. The man denied it, but authorities say they found a briefcase of tattoo tools as well as photos of tattooed women on his phone. Tattoos are not officially banned in Saudi Arabia, but they are not socially approved because they are not in keeping with Islamic tradition. The central accusation against the man was his seeing Saudi women privately in their homes. The man, nicknamed the "Tattoo King" is estimated to have been in business for as long as nine years.
