Official Trailer For "Tattoo Nation"

WRITER Jasmine Wright

Tattoo Nation has finally released the trailer to their super buzzed about documentary. Tattoo Nation tells the story of how four young men revolutionized the tattoo industry with black and gray ink.

Directed by Eric Schwartz, and narrated by bad ass and super tatted film and TV star Danny Trejo, we are in for a totally new and fresh insight into a genre of tattoos that was not always accepted. With stories about Trejo's jailhouse tattoos, done by guitar strings and other homemade machines, Tattoo Nation shows you the not-so-known story of the evolution of this form of art.

Some of the other big guns on screen are Mark Mahoney, who is actually tattooing Trejo all throughout, Charlie Cartwright, Jack Rudy and Freddy Negrete. These four legends share how through cool black and white flash backs and why they navigated their way to making black and gray prison tattoos marketable and accepted. With more of the big shots on the LA tattoo scene, this movie will not disappoint.

It's interesting that this documentary is coming out right as tattoos are becoming more mainstream. Everyone, whether or not you are tatted, should go check out this movie. Give yourself some culture and a little history lesson about the some of the godfathers of tattoos and their journey.

Check out the video below, and follow Tattoo Nation on Facebook and twitter for more updates!

The movie is out October 2012.
