Shepard Fairey And Neil Young In "Americana"

WRITER Maya Phillips

Shepard Fairey's back again with a new collection, and this time he's brought Neil Young along for the ride. Well, kind of. Apparently Fairey's a big Neil Young fan, so his new collection, Americana, is purely based off of Young's work. The artwork is a combination of lyric-based art and Fairey's own visual interpretations of the songs. The songs "Oh Susannah," "This Land is Your Land," and "Clementime" from Young's upcoming album Crazy Horse all make appearances in Fairey's collection. This exhibit will be up in Los Angeles' Perry Rubenstein Gallery until September 7.
