Split Decision: A Boxing Story (Short Film)

WRITER Brittany Ineson

Split Decision, by Longevity Entertainment Inc., is an emotionally driven short film written and directed by Antoine Allen with Lorena Gordon acting as Assistant Director.

"While we have no Tattooed cast members in the film itself, our crew, myself included, do sport ink and we all love and appreciate the fact that many boxers are as passionate about their ink as their boxing careers," says Assistant Director, Lorena Gordon.

The very passionate film depicts a young woman, Lola Rosario, who is described as a "rugged Hispanic lesbian with a keen passion for boxing and a love for the sexes." The film is based around Lola's love for the sport, her two partners and her father, who believes that she "should be doing female stuff [and] boxing is no place for a woman." Lola defies her father in all aspects of her life, both professionally and personally, and faces the consequences.

The intermingling of English and Spanish with subtitles fills this film with passion and adds a beautiful dimension that only this type of bilingual short can give. Split Decision has been submitted to various film festivals across the country and in major cities, so keep an eye out at your local festivals because it's not a film to be missed.
