"Tattoo Witness" Photography Exhibit Arrives In Little Rock

WRITER Jill Marino

From now through Sept. 9, the exhibit "Tattoo Witness: Photographs by Mark Perrott" will be on display at the Arkansas Arts Center in Little Rock.

Perrot, who has been a professional photographer for over 40 years, took the photos at tattoo parlors in various states like New Jersey, Maryland, and Ohio. One parlor was Nick's Island Avenue Tattoo in Pittsburgh, where Perrot hails from.

The photos are meant to show what Perrot found while exploring tattoo culture during a 25 year period. He also photographed 10 mid-career tattoo artists in their element at their respective studios between 1995 and 2004.

Admission to view the exhibit is free.
