British Crackdown on Graffiti Before Olympics

It’s all over: in the news, on T.V. commercials, on the radio, on billboards, etc. The 2012 London Olympics start next week and the reminders are everywhere. England seems to be feeling the pressure as the worldwide hype steadily increases. In an effort to clean up shop as this year’s Olympic host, England is seriously cracking down on graffiti. The British Transport Police has been arresting a number of people on suspicion of tagging public spaces. One of these arrests was “professional graffiti artist” Darren Cullen. Cullen owns a firm called Graffiti Kings, which provides spraycan artwork and branding for major international companies. Cullen was arrested and barred from coming within a mile of any Olympic venue. What do you think?
