What is your job?

I’m a race car driver (NHRA Top Alcohol Funny Car) and owner of Stealth Motor Sports

What social causes are most important to you?

In addition to supporting various charitable organizations, my family and I are very involved with youth learning programs. Helping disadvantaged youth is one our primary focuses.

What charities do you support – and how?

My family and I support Whale Wars and the Sea Shepherd Conservation Society (I even spent three weeks aboard the boat!! Which you may recognize from Animal Planet’s ‘Whale Wars’) and Blazers Youth Learning Center located in Los Angeles, CA

Why do you have a passion for this one in particular, is there a personal tie?
Blazers Youth Learning Center is an organization that my family and I hold close to our hearts. The Blazers provide a safe haven for learning to latch-key children, and also provides involvement and education opportunities for parents and community members. Being a mother myself, I believe that kids come first—they’re our future generation and Blazers provides them with opportunities that they would not otherwise have.

Is there a particular way you would want to encourage readers to be involved? Get involved in any way that you can – monetary donations and supplies, whatever you can do is greatly appreciated! How would you define social responsibility?

We all have a responsibility to contribute to society, and its not just about having a lot of money to do so. It’s more about contributing to anything that you can—whether donating your time, or even something small, like giving packs of pencils or other supplies to a local school. We all have the ability to give something back.
