Faces the Death Penalty.
Twenty-seven-year-old Joseph Tejeda of Corpus Christi, Texas is facing the death penalty for the death of Breanna Wood. However, before he goes to trial to dispute the murder charge he is requesting to have his facial tattoos removed.
Tejeda has several tattoos on his face, including on his hairline, above each eyebrow, on his left cheek, and on his chin.
His attorneys asked Jack Pulcher, the District Judge if he would allow the team to hire a laser/cosmetologist to remove the tattoos, but Pulcher denied the request. The judge also refused to lower Tejeda $1,000,000 bond or allow him out of jail.
Tejeda was initially indicted on murder, but then re-indicted in December on capital murder. In addition, he’s also charged with engaging in organized criminal activity, tampering with physical evidence and abuse of a corpse.
His victim twenty-one-year-old Breanna Wood went missing in October of 2016 and was last seen with Tejeda. Tips came in from inmates at Nueces County Jail and Wood’s body was found stuffed in a box near an abandoned trailer.
One inmate reportedly told police that Tejeda boasted about shooting Woods in the back of the head, breaking her arms and having sex with her corpse.
Nice guy!
