Inked Girls: Alexandra Nissen
Myself in a sentence: An outgoing, metal headed, country girl.
The design and themes of my tattoos: There's no real theme to my ink, although if asked, there is personal significance to every tattoo on my body. Aside from the script on my left forearm, all my tattoos have been designed by myself or my tattooist (who, I would like to say, is just fabulous).
More specifics about my tattoo: There's no other real specifics. I'm an eclectic, I enjoy having tattoos from different cultures and styles of art. I fully intend on continuing to have my body tattooed, at least until I run out of skin!
My favorite tattoo and the story behind it: I have a Phoenix, starting at my shoulder blades and wrapping around my hips to finish at my knee. Still a work in progress, he's going to be in full colour when I'm done. I deal with depression on a daily basis, and this tattoo symbolizes that. It stands for every time I've ever hit rock bottom in the past, and every time I will in the future. Hes there to remind me that no matter how rough things get, or how close I get to bottoming out on some days, if I can just tough it out, then I'll be able to rise again, stronger then before.
My next tattoo: My next tattoo is an Egyptian ahnk, with a rose, on the inside of my wrist. The ahnk symbolizes everlasting life for the Egyptian culture. This tattoo is one half of a balance pair that I'm getting.
