Myself in a sentence: The epitome of selflessness wrapped in repellent paper. ^_^

The design and themes of my tattoos: The design and themes of my tattoos vary drastically from each piece. From black and gray to watercolor style to portrait, they are literally all different. I currently have 12 different artists on me. I wasn't able to fit everything for the category below into the box provided, so I wrote the last bit of it below. Hope it isn't too confusing to read. gray set of scales. My zodiac sign is Libra (the scales). Behind my right ear, I have a tiny fortune cookie with a '13' on the fortune inside. It symbolizes making your own luck and I also got it on Friday the 13th because a few tattoo shops in town do Friday the 13th $13 tattoos. Which also brings me to my next tattoo. A different shop was doing $13 tattoos or $31 for a little bigger tattoos on a different Friday the 13th than the aforementioned tattoo. So behind my other ear, on my head, and slightly onto my face, I have a traditional, 3 color snake. And last and definitely least, I have a single line, black peace sign on my left wrist and a single line, black heart on my right wrist...
More specifics about my tattoo: I'm assuming this is where I'm supposed to list and describe each tattoo; if not, oops ^.^ I've already talked about my first tattoo(s) and my squid. I didn't describe where my squid is, so I suppose I'll start with that. My squid is yet to be colored, but it is black shaded. It starts on my right ankle and extends my whole shin to my knee. Below that, on the top of my foot, I have a pyramid of sorts with a large eye in the middle. This piece was inspired by Bassnectar's 'Divergent Spectrum' album art. It was full color at one point, but my foot just won't hold ink. On the same leg I have a no line, full color, Bassnectar symbol on the back of my knee. Still on the right leg, I have a no line, full color, Scarlet Macaw on my outer thigh. Moving to the left leg, I have a hieroglyphic band, that I mentioned above, about 3/4 of the way up my calf. It's black and gray and says 'tomorrow never comes' in hieroglyphics. On the back of this knee, I have the third eye physiology Hieroglyphics symbol in all black. Directly above my knee, I have a black and gray, very detailed depiction of the Sphenoid bone. To the left of it on my inner thigh, I have and black and gray portrait of Audrey Hepburn as Holly Golightly in Breakfast At Tiffany's. Finally, on my outer thigh, I have a full color memorial tattoo for my cousin who committed suicide about 2 years ago. It's an old school innkeeper's candle holder with the candle blown out and my cousin's initials negative in the smoke. On my stomach, I have the bird from the Lamb Of God 'Ashes Of The Wake' album cover in black and gray. My entire chest, including my boobs and down past my ribs, is blasted with a full color Alice In Wonderland piece. It has over 20 hours into it currently and is not finished yet. On my back, I have a large full color piece of 'mother earth' holding up a lotus flower with an Om symbol (ॐ) in the middle. They are small, single line zodiac symbols all around the lotus. On the back of my neck is a black and
My favorite tattoo and the story behind it: My favorite tattoo would have to be one that isn't quite finished yet. It's a gnarly squid holding 3 items in its tentacles. Those 3 items are a straight razor, an old jug of booze, and an anatomical heart with an arrow through it. The story behind it is simply the fight through life we all face and my personal trials. octopi and squids literally eat themselves when they become stressed; I find myself doing this when I'm consumed by stress as well. It's a reminder to not be too hard on myself in stressful times and situations. This is usually where I finish the explanation of this tattoo to most people, if I even feel I should explain that much to them. But there is also symbolism behind the 3 items the squid is holding, if you didn't assume that already. The first item, the straight razor, is a reminder to never go back to self mutilation just to feel. The second item, the old jug of booze, is a reminder to not use alcohol to cope with the stresses of life. The third and final item, the heart with an arrow through it, is the biggest reminder of all; it's to remind me to not let my hurts and trials of the heart from the past hold back from loving with all I am today, now, in the present. Not just loving in a romantic relationship, but in loving and accepting people for who they are. For all their faults, mistakes, and hurt they may have caused in the past. I put a lot of thought into this tattoo, but like myself, it's hidden underneath a complex appearance.
My next tattoo: The majority of fairly inked people have hundreds of tattoo ideas in mind at any given time; I definitely fall into that majority. After I finish my squid, I should probably finish my chest piece hahaha. But as far as new tattoos go, I'm really leaning towards blasting my other shin. I have a hieroglyphic band on the upper part of my calf and under it I want a brown wash, life like statue of Isis with some pyramids and sphinx behind her. The meaning of this tattoo is very personal to me and I only share it with people I'm very close to.
