Inked Girls: Andi Hidalgo Peterson
Myself in a sentence: Hello all, Andi here. Formerly Hidalgo, for the last 13 years Peterson. I am a free spirit to the 1st degree and encourage my yahoos to be open minded as well. Their mother is covered in tatts and has blue hair, how could they not be?
Hometown: Saginaw, MI
The design and themes of my tattoos: I've always had a fascination with the whole aspect of dark versus light, good against evil. Most of my ink is right along that theme. I'm also a huge fan of DIa De Los Muertos. I have a lot of that as well. I love the aspect of that whole holiday, plus I have a little extra love for it because of my Mexican heritage.
More specifics about my tattoo: One tattoo that is especially near and dear to me is on my forearm of two skeletons embracing each holding a knife behind their back. My husband has the very same tattoo on the opposite forearm and when we hold hands our tattoos match up. It reminds me of how lucky I am to have my hubby even when we want to wring each other's necks sometimes and that nothing worth having is easy.
My favorite tattoo and the story behind it: It's hard to,play favorites but the one that means the most to me is my husbands name Paul in his handwriting on my left ring finger. I am his, and he is mine, until the very end of time.
My next tattoo: I seriously need to finish my half sleeve. It's my favorite painting from Brandon Maldonado on my right upper arm. My inner wimp has taken control since the outline on my inner arm hurt like hell, I was in no rush to get that shaded in. It's been a while and I'm due, just trying to nerve up.
