Inked Girls: Ashley Sarno
Myself in a sentence: I am 26 years old, Italian/Armenian descent, petite and proud
Hometown: Warwick, Rhode Island
The design and themes of my tattoos: Life themes. Family, love, life, everything in between. I have a little bit of everything everywhere.
More specifics about my tattoo: Each tattoo I have, and will have, each has its own story. But when you throw it all together it is story of my life. I want to make it worth reading (I know that sounded cheesy, but it is true).
My favorite tattoo and the story behind it: My Egyptian themed half sleeve. I love Egyptian culture and shared that passion with a long time friend of mine who passed away unexpectedly at age 22. This sleeve was mainly designed in his memory in hopes he knows I adored him.
My next tattoo: A cracked vintage mirror with the first verse of "Unpretty" by TLC written in the broken glass. Being petite, I have always had self confidence issues due to my size. Just as a bigger person would if someone called them fat. I advocate that big or small, there is beauty in everyone and size will never matter and that it doesn't justify who you are. It is all superficial. But I do understand the struggle of trying to feel beautiful when you hear you're not because the world has other expectations of how you should look.
