Myself in a sentence: I am a blessed, unique individual and I always try to love life as much as possible, even when it hurts so much that is hard to breathe.
Occupation: Salon owner/Hairstylist and waxing specialist
Hometown: Austin, Texas
The design and themes of my tattoos: I have several tattoos that symbolize loved ones I have lost. I have one main artist who has done almost all of my work and I give him an idea of what I want and let him run with it. He knows I love color and tattoos that are more on the feminine side so I let him do his thing and I am always in love with the results.
More specifics about my tattoo: My tattoos are a part of me. I have no regrets with my tattoos and love how they make me feel. It's a reminder of who I have become and hardships I have been through. I am confident in myself and know that with everything I have been through, I must keep living each day and opening new doors to new experiences throughout my life. I have several tattoos of various animals. Phoenix, tiger, robin, owl, butterflies, dolphins, Japanese cat...I love how animals have various meanings in cultures all over the world and they fit perfectly and relate to me in many ways. I also have a pin-up cowgirl on my left arm. I was born and raised in Texas and love to country dance. So that tattoo sums me up well :)
My backpiece is a fairy. It is the only tattoo I have that I gave my artist complete freedom. I trusted that he knows my style and would create something beautiful...and he did...and I'm in love with it!
My favorite tattoo and the story behind it: It's hard to pick of course, but I would have to say the red-breasted robin on my left thigh. I got it after my mom passed away. The red robin symbolizes reassurance of a new beginning and shows that you are still being watched over by a loved one and that they still love you. I have a quote with it..."In the end, some of your greatest pains become your greatest strengths." The tattoo in a whole sums up the loss of my mother as well as a few others VERY close to me that I have lost in the recent years.
My next tattoo: It will probably be a Bumble Bee. I'm thinking on my foot. So many people call me Bee and Baby Bee because I am short. So, I have been wanting a bee as a tattoo for awhile.
