Inked Girls: Charly Conchita
Myself in a sentence: As a psychologist and self-proclaimed "NymphoBrainiac" -one who delves mindfully into al things erotic- tattoos offer a vehicle for both expression and exploration, being both inherently "sexy" and imbued with meaning. For me, tattoos have become an integral pathway toward self-examination and artistic expression that I don't necessarily achieve in my daily-life as a research scientist.
Occupation: Research Scientist for Medical Outcomes
The design and themes of my tattoos: Neo-classic in style at least...Mexican/alternative in theme.
More specifics about my tattoo: Most of my work was done by Ele Mags from Bang Bang in NYC.
My favorite tattoo and the story behind it: My Dia de los Muertos (sugar skull) back piece was done originally after my Nana and Tata (grandmother and grandfather) passed away, as a way of honoring both my Mexican heritage and them; however, over the next few years following this piece done I lost four more relatives and the tattoo took on new meaning…I now carry “death” on my back both figuratively and literally…with honor and pride.
My next tattoo: Traditional roses to finish off my Sugar Skull piece.
