Inked Girls: Chelsea Morgan Hunt
Myself in a sentence: i was born in the wrong time and place.
Hometown: Santa Cruz, CA
The design and themes of my tattoos: they are all different.
i know a lot of people like going to the same artists, or having all the artwork sort of flow together.
my tattoos are little pieces of my life. tiny cut-outs to remember a time, a message, or just because i had nothing better to do. i love colors, and expect to add a lot to what i already have.
my body's a canvass and i just got started painting.
More specifics about my tattoo: i've got dog tags on my ankle, with my grandfathers name and RIP
a social distortion skully, a couple horseshoes.
and the word Ohana (family) on the back of my neck.. my mom and i have matching ones.
i've got some that are better than others, and part of one that i wish i never had to see again... but the memories and stories are all their own...and i wouldn't trade those for the world.
My favorite tattoo and the story behind it: they were all my favorite at one time or another. my sleeve (in progress) is the long-running favorite.
it's themed for the 1989 animated movie All Dogs go to Heaven, starring Burt Reynolds. <3
i decided on the idea after "adopting" a german shepherd mix who i immediately decided was a Charlie-dog.
in the movie Charlie is riding the line between good guy and bad guy.
he uses this little orphan girl just to make himself money because he's selfish and doesn't know any better.
but by the end, he risks (and loses) his own life to save the little girl....in a sense, they saved each other.
i have a strong appreciation for the movie because, as someone who has been judged nearly my entire life for things i may or may not have done... i believe it's important to know that given the proper time, and love, people can change. people who have done bad, CAN do good. they just need somebody to believe in them.
that's the message this tattoo reminds me of daily. dont judge someone by the way they look or the bad choices they have made...cuz they might end up surprising you with kindness.
My next tattoo: finish my sleeve. that's what it shoooouuuld be at least ;-)
