Inked Girls: Christina Borton
Myself in a sentence: When my brother, a USAF fireman, passed away in July of 2010, I finally knew what I could put on my skin that I'd never regret. It would honor him, become highly emotional on several levels, and, well...that's how it started! I will have so much more done over the years, and several added to, but that is how beautifying my body and telling my life story began.
Hometown: Fayetteville, NC
The design and themes of my tattoos: Tree, honor living and passed and present people in my life. The emotions that go along with the events that occur in my life. 'Sacrifice' is on my wrist. Nothing great was ever achieved without endurance. You sacrifice for everything, no one gets handed a silver spoon in their mouth, they must work hard to get what they and their family need. My son, Ethan's name (this will have more work, and eventually become a sleeve. A verse from the bible that is a play on words to the last tattoo my brother received, only a couple months prior to his passing.
More specifics about my tattoo: Above! (Ii can pose nude to see all of my ink, but tastefully)
My favorite tattoo and the story behind it: I have a weeping willow tree on my back. My brother's badge is there, half of the tree is calm, the other, full of fire and rage. Out of those flames, a Pheonix rises above a city of ashes. The roots of my tree have hidden names in them if you look close.
My next tattoo: Sugar skull owl. I know, different, but that's how I like it!
