My favorite tattoo and the story behind it: My favorite tattoo is on my fore arm "what doesnt kill us makes us stronger". The story behind this tattoo is i had a rough childhood. I was on my own at 14. When i first turned 16 i moved in with my great uncle to take care of him due to his bad health. I started having eye problems and wen to the doctor to find out i had a disease called retinal degenesis. (The deteriation of the retina) so i was secheduled for immediate surgery to save my eye. (I had 65% vision in my right eye before surgery) When i came out of surgery i was completely blind in my right eye and partially blind in my left eye. I ended up dropping out of public school to home school due to the issue which wasnt a big deal since i was severly bullied all through school. At one point a group of kids tried to slice my throat since i didnt look like them. I worked 3 jobs to support myself and at 17 ended up pregnant. I was a mom at 18 and stuck in an abusive relationship. When i got the guts to leave him, i had to start from scratch. Which i still deal with him stalking me and threats to this day. At 20 i got pregnant again. The pregnancy was rough and i almost died trying to give birth to my youngest. A couple months later i found out i had uteran and ovarian cancer. So i had to hav a partial hysterectomy. Also found out i had the begining stages of stomache cancer so that had to be removed. Shortly after i suffered severe pain in my dead eye and i was losing more vision in my good eye. The doctor said my bad eye was trying to heel itself but never could and in order to stop from going completely blind in both eyes i needed to have my blind ete removed. So i went to immediate surgery for a prostetic. Which over time ive decreased to 20% vision. I live day to day with many struggles that i over come. What doesnt kill us makes us stronger. I am truely a firm believer of it. And when i feel at my lowest and i feel like i cant over come something, i look at my arm and remember my strength.
My next tattoo: My sixth tattoo was a happy shroom. The story behind this tat iswhile i was recovering from my oldest daughters dad, i fell head over heels for my youngest daughters dad. One day we were sitting at the table drawing with his son and my daughter and he drew the shroom for me and above it said i love you for the first time. I kept it of course, and a year later when i found out i was pregnant, i found the drawing. He asked me if i knew why he drew a happy shroom, i said no why. He replied because he had found a fever kind of love. So i cut the shroom out and got it tatted on my calf.
My seventh tattoo is a rose down my side. The story behind it is my step dad always use to tell me i was a rose in bud and one day id bloom into the beautiful rose who knew id be. He said every leaf represented my journey and every pedal was my journey to come
