Inked Girls: Em Seymour
Myself in a sentence: I'm made of steel but wear my heart on my sleeve.
Occupation: Global Marketing and Sales Director for RenagadeGirls.com
The design and themes of my tattoos: Most of my tattoos have all been hand drawn, so they are all personal. The theme all has to do with representing my life, milestones, and making memories into illustrations.
More specifics about my tattoo: I have had them done on two coasts, the south, and midwest. Each one has a very personal meaning and acts as a living, constant reminder.
My favorite tattoo and the story behind it: They are all kind of my favorites, but I can't just pick one. So my two favorites are 1. Four tiny handprints on my right arm- one for each child on the arm i carried them with but the size of my micro preemie's hand when he was finally released from NICU against all odds (and yes, thats four kids, but I was blessed genetically and manage to look like I have had none) 2. My sleeve in progress starting with the white ink rising phoenix to signify my strength and the birds flying from the marsh into my skin that rips open into the sky with the one blue jay staying grounded and the word Fly to signify that I can reach any goal, i just needed to take the leap because sky's the limit and that limitless notion resides in me, but I will always hold onto my values and remember where I came from.
My next tattoo: My next tattoo was an ode to my favorite poem, "Footprints in the sand". I have tiny foot prints and the word You Carry Me on the top of my left foot.
