My favorite tattoo and the story behind it: My favorite tattoo is my octopus lady on my left arm. I saw the image on the artist's (Jason Cantoro) website and knew immediately that I needed it on my body forever. I'm a surfer and have/want a lot of ocean themed tattoos and this image combined my love for the ocean and pin-up. I also have always loved octopi and found them to be so mysterious but fierce when they need to be (they have a razor sharp beak under their tentacles) so to have that on a woman was really empowering.
My next tattoo: My next tattoo will most likely be three watercolor jellyfish on my right forearm to represent my mother, my sister, and I. That will be the first piece in my eventual ocean sleeve.
