Inked Girls: Jessi Bigelow
Myself in a sentence: I'm more of a sweet girl; the type that you wouldn't expect to get tattoos, or be interested in them.
Hometown: Gainesville, FL
The design and themes of my tattoos: I suppose you could say that my "theme" is flowers for now. I have had a love for flowers since I can remember and to me they symbolize growth and beauty. I have plans on getting some text in the future, though.
More specifics about my tattoo: The tattoo on my leg meant so much to me that I almost burst into tears when it was done. I have a constant struggle with self mutilation. When I first got the idea to get a tattoo on my leg, I wasn't sure that it would help much...I got an opportunity to finally get my tattoo and I took it. For me, it was a hit or miss. If it didn't work for my struggles, at least it would look pretty.
Getting the artists' rendition of what I wanted was almost magical; as if I had left reality and escaped into some kind of Ink'd Disney Land. Everything was just so perfect and ended up being so perfect. Without this piece of artwork on my leg...I wouldn't be in such amazing condition today. It may sound silly, but this tattoo changed my life. Like flipping a pancake.
My favorite tattoo and the story behind it: My favorite of the two would have to be my most recent. A beautiful orchid piece on my thigh. It represents my struggles in life.
My next tattoo: My next tattoo will be a watercolor-ish peach blossom branch as an add on to my best friend and I's tattoo's.
