Inked Girls: kween kristina brown
Myself in a sentence: My name is Kristina "Kween" Brown, I have been modeling for almost 3 and have been fortunate to be published in various magazines. I am incredibly versatile and can model a wide spectrum of different styles above and beyond, fashion, pinup glamour, fetish, lingerie, etc. I love creating art, modeling is more than just taking a pretty picture, it's a visual experience. I want the viewer to FEEL something when they see a picture, rather than just see what is portrayed.
I feel it is important it is to be able to express yourself through art. Creativity is something that I have embraced throughout my entire life…from watching my mom get tattooed at a young age, to getting my first tattoos with her. My body is my canvas and I use my body as a form of expression.. In addition, I love being able to display the beautiful tattoos that I have collected for the past 10 plus years.
Occupation: model/ bartender
Hometown: ventura, California
The design and themes of my tattoos: I go to the same artist, Adrienne Rincon (ig @adriennemichelle_art) out of white lotus body art. She helps design my art and bring my ideas and imagination to life. Every one of my tattoos has a symbolism of my kids, family, or religious views inside of them. To me, these things are everything.
More specifics about my tattoo: My tattoos are a part of me. I got them as a tradition and with the strength of my mom in mind. I started getting my ink over 13 years ago, at a time when it wasn't so 'popular' or 'trendy' have them. I don't hide my ink/art. I consider myself a walking canvas. I have a rose for each female in my family, and my kids and grandparents astrological symbols, hidden inside stars on my arms. Every tattoo on my body has a hidden date or meaning behind it. My ink is a part of me in so many ways, not just my skin but it links to my heart.
My favorite tattoo and the story behind it: My favorite tattoo would be my upper sleeve on my right arm. I collect tattoo art and always get a full blended pieces instead of just one tattoo. My upper right arm was a dedication to my grandmother who passed from cancer gping on 3 years ago. It is a collection has a time piece to signify that time is so short and precious. A pearl necklace, because that was her birthstone. And a pair of gold hoop/huggie earrings that she never took off since I can remember. Right through the center of my sleeve it says "cherish every moment". Signifying time being so precious and it truly waits for no one.
My next tattoo: My next tattoo will be of a mermaid and all of her free spirit. Flowing hair, no worries, mermaids have long been a subject of myth, legend and beauty. I believe they exist and to me represent fearlessness and freedom. Some of the strength we all wish we had in our darkest hour. She will represent my alter ego and have the same tattoos as I do.
