Today’s pick for tattoo of the day goes to this awesome chest piece by the lovely Little Linda! Little Linda is a highly talented tattoo artist based at Elm Street Tattoo in Dallas, Texas. With over ten years of experience in the industry, Little Linda is best known for her creative minimalistic blackwork style.
Take a look at this cool piece for today’s pick. While it borders the line between line work and illustrative, Little Linda is able to create an incredible image of a goat that reads more like a black and grey realism piece from far away. Cool, right?
The amount of line work that went into this piece is remarkable, as the majority of the goat’s horns are defined by various lines and stand out thanks to the clever use of shading within them. We love the addition of the flowers and leaves to give this tattoo a bit of background and setting without overwhelming the goat image as the focal point of the client’s chest. It’s fun tricks like this that add so much more to what otherwise could be a very boring tattoo.
Also, by making the piece tilted towards one side rather than staring straight on at the viewer helps to give the piece and overall organic nature that flows more appropriately with the client’s body.
