Inked Girls: Megan Barnett
Myself in a sentence: I am fun, spontaneous, and a rebel without a cause.
The design and themes of my tattoos: A lot of the design comes from my own life experiences, and my son.... there's a lot of my son in them ranging from band-aids, to constellations, to foot prints, to zodiac signs. The main thing for me is to express the feminine side of tattoos, being a woman who loves tattoos I think its really easy to get lost in them & I like to still look soft
More specifics about my tattoo: I have a lot of different stuff, maybe not the greatest art work, but I like the rawness of them... I only have one tattoo that I wan to change and that's because it hasnt been finished and i lack the fund to finish it at the moment.... but I have van gogh's starry night, with text from Dante's inferno to Kanji to vines sprawled down my shoulder to 90's tribal art around my waist to scriptures on my forearms - & i love every single one.
My favorite tattoo and the story behind it: my bandaids - represent my son also known as my bubu - are on my right hand because he'll always be right right hand man.
My next tattoo: Finish my sleeve - It's going on my forearm - I have this idea of a New School design of the cheshire cat doing a one-handed hand stand on his head while he's disappearing into just his stripes. I want the face to be like Tim Burton's version of the Cheshire cat, but still get the old skool disney body. I want the body's stripes to spell out "we're all mad here" - throw in some smoke, the potion that says "drink me" and the mad hatters hat & we'll call it a day.
