Inked Girls: niki nastasi
Myself in a sentence: I'm not impressed.
Occupation: medical tech
The design and themes of my tattoos: I don't have a lot of color. The heart on my right arm is fully red and that's about it. The rest are all black and white or mixed with lots of shading. I like to think my placement and ideas are pretty unique or signify who I am or who I was/have become. They are little landmarks of my life experiences.
More specifics about my tattoo: Left ankle: a RIP for my gramps Right ankle: An image from The Nightmare Before Christmas Right side lower back: Scorpio symbol Left side lower back: A broken heart with crossbones "More Than You Bargained For" Middle of back: Headphones with music notes "Live For Something" Left side of lower waist: TERRIBLE anarchy symbol (artist was druuunkkk) Right side of ribs: Robert Frost quote Under neck: Japanese symbol for inner strength (I hope?) Right upper arm: Ace of hearts (anatomical heart) Right forearm: Charles Bukowski quote Left upper arm/shoulder/back: Profile of chick smoking cigarette, smoke turns into NYC skyline Left thigh: Audrey Hepburn tattooing Marilyn Monroe (both covered in tats surrounded by shot glasses) Left wrist: "Flawed"
My favorite tattoo and the story behind it: My favorite tattoo is probably the "ace of hearts" on my right upper arm. It's an actual anatomic heart with the A's like on a poker card under and above it. It mean's a lot of different things to me - I wear my heart on my sleeve, I'm nasty at Texas Hold Em, I'm a hopeless romantic and I'm in the medical field.
My next tattoo: I'm in the process of working on a sleeve, but my ideas are scattered and all over the place. There's a piece that's started on my left shoulder and upper arm that kind of wraps around to part of my back (a chick smoking a cigarette with the smoke turning into the NYC skyline). I have a lot of ideas and images, but tiny arms so I need to really put some thought into it.
