Inked Girls: Owley O.
Myself in a sentence: I hold all of the traits of a Scorpio, but with good intentions.
Occupation: Tattoo Artist
Hometown: Joshua Tree
The design and themes of my tattoos: My left arm is really the only area that has a heavy theme. Everything centers around music. I was involved in choirs and ensembles for years. There is also reference to karaoke, (guilty pleasure), a mixed tape and an old phonograph.
More specifics about my tattoo: The tattoos I love the most are the ones that are spontaneous. I have "swear" on my pinky, "rock, paper, scissors," HELVETICA (reference to my graphic design past) and a little owl which was my first tattoo on myself, hence the nickname. I can't wait for more. Though I'm realizing I am not as tough as I used to be tolorence-wise.
My favorite tattoo and the story behind it: My favorite tattoo is the portrait of Mr. Rogers on my right calf by artist Dave Hopkins. I lived in Pittsburgh for six years around the time of his death. It was so incredible to see how his beautiful nature transcended the hearts of three generations. There will soon be a quote with it that says, " The best gift you can give is your honest self." A quote by which I live.
My next tattoo: I am a new Tattoo Artist at Strata Tattoo lab in Yucca Valley, Ca. I have been working on an Armageddon piece on my upper thigh for a few months. Besides continuing that project, I have a carnival themed 1/2 sleeve I'd like to get started. It is a dedication to my Mom who was a Carnie for seventeen years.
