Inked Girls: Steph Hammonds-Burnell
Myself in a sentence: I am unique, nerdy, crazy, silly, beautiful and strong, this is what makes me the woman I am today.
The design and themes of my tattoos: The designs and themes of my art is very sentimental to me. My tribal Dragon on my right thigh symbolizes the love I have for the love of my life. We are huge video gamers, MMO's, RP, PVP games, League of legends, you name it we play it. The dragon symbolizes his love for dragons. When we played world of Warcraft he would make it a goal of his to own every dragon flying mount in the game. Once he achieved his goal I went and had a tribal Dragon tattooed on my thigh as a symbol of his love for dragons and my undying love for him.
The stars that cover my right rib cage represent how many times I have had to count my blessings. They are not finished but they will be shooting all the way up my ribcage and then proceed down my arm to my wrist. I have been blessed in my life even through all of the hard times I have endured.
The Scull and Lily on my right shoulder represents my mom. Her favorite flower is a lily. The scull represents that no matter what I go through my mom will always be my rock. This tattoo will eventually have a scorpion for my father who is my hero. Marine Vet and such a huge influence on my life. I met him when I was 5 and he has been my teacher and inspiration my entire life.
My favorite tattoo and the story behind it: Wonder Woman on my arm. Wonder Woman is a very naturally strong woman who believes in justice for all innocent people. She is an inspiration for me because I had Cancer and you never really know how strong you are when you have to endure the amount of physical and mental pain going through treatments and recoveries. I had to be strong for my 4 children. I had to be strong for the love of my life and hero. Wonder Woman is my symbol of strength and being able to endure and over come the worst possible situation anyone could experience.
My next tattoo: My ankle Tattoo has my children's name written out. I absolutely love stars and so I did non traditional stars that instead of being drawn they were airbrushed in a star pattern.
