Inked Girls: Tessa Lane
Myself in a sentence: Southern gal, previous barber, full time student and animal enthusiast.
The design and themes of my tattoos: Most of my tattoos are fairly silly and consist of representations of the not so serious sides of my personality. As far as design goes I usually give Maya some kind of vague idea and she runs with it. I always give her as much creative freedom as possible because her skill set makes for art incomparable to any measly thing that I would be capable of conjuring up. All of them have a traditional style with interesting, sometimes girly color schemes.
More specifics about my tattoo: I've never been tattooed by anyone but Maya at True Blue Electric Tattoo and can't see myself ever being tattooed by anyone else in the future. She has an understanding and appreciation for the ridiculous nature of my tattoos and has a unique ability to give me exactly what I want while greatly exceeding any expectations I might have had.
My favorite tattoo and the story behind it: I had my tattoo artist and friend Maya to give me a permanent yearbook signature. It reads, "Have a great summer, peace, love and happiness, Maya." Because we thought it was pretty funny.
My next tattoo: Our next project will be several fillers for my right arm including a green pepper, pancakes, a cat and a few of my other favorite things.
