Jager Gets Some Ink

For our latest issue release, we teamed up with one of our favorite liquor brands. Jägermeister is known for inspiring crazy nights out, and last night at GunBar was no different. To fit the bill for the Inked party, Jägermeister teamed up with tattoo artist artist Joseph Aloi, who adorned the tap machine as he saw fit.

When we asked him about the project, he said, “This was a fun project. Distinct, energized letterforms somewhere between east LA and middle earth, some sacred geometry, the language of Jäger, a shot of magic, and a chaser of heavy metal. That was the vibe my eye aspired to.” He seemed to capture all that and more.

In case you’re curious to know what he’s working on now, Joseph Aloi is currently tattooing (although less frequently) at famed New York City shop Daredevil. He’s in the process of working on two books, one of which (“Tatt Book”) is being released this fall. The second book, which is a retrospective of his work will be released in 2013. He’s also has toy collaborations out with Kidrobot and more with his own company JK5.

  7. I’ll gear this review to 2 types of people: current Zune owners who are considering an upgrade, and people trying to decide between a Zune and an iPod. (There are other players worth considering out there, like the Sony Walkman X, but I hope this gives you enough info to make an informed decision of the Zune vs players other than the iPod line as well.)
