Last Rites Gallery’s “5th Year Anniversary Show

Saturday, April 13th marked the kick off of Last Rites Gallery’s “5th Year Anniversary Show” to celebrate five successful years of the New York tattoo shop and art gallery.   Hosted by Mistress Juliya, the Gothic architecture inspired shop held a fitting dark art gallery where guests got to view incredible paintings and sculptures while hanging with some of the most innovative tattooists in the area, such as Paul Booth and Jose Perez, Jr.  With over forty artists contributing sensational works like Matt Dangler’s painting “Drowning Salvation,” Eli Livingston’s sculpture “The Abyss,” and Menton3’s painting “Anima Pemumbra 4,” visitors to the grand opening also got a chance to see a snake (as in albino python) charming performance by Nikki LeVillain and performance art by the likes of Markus Blanchard and Matt Buck as they painted a piece live for the night.  The gallery will remain in Last Rites until May 18th, so hurry up because you have less than a month to view this amazing collection.
