(LOS ANGELES, CA – July 9, 2012) - House of Blues Entertainment and Inked Magazine have again joined forces for the second “The Inked Music Tour,” which will be headlined this year by Alesana, it was announced by Kelly Kapp, vice president, House of Blues Entertainment and Rocky Rakovic, editor, Inked.
“I am so excited that the Inked Magazine Music Tour is going into its second year with a headliner as innovative as Alesana,” Kapp said. “Alesana's energetic, theatrical live performances are the perfect fit for Inked and we cannot wait for fans from around the country to experience this dynamic show.”
“We are amped to keep the party going with the House of Blues,” said Rakovic. “And super stoked that this time it is with Alesana of all bands. Their stage presence is incomparable; if you dig Alesana’s sound you’re going to be blown away by their live show. Some of Alesana’s songs are so loud that you feel as if they are going to vibrate the tattoos off your skin.”
Formed in 2004 in Raleigh, North Carolina, Epitaph Records artists Alesana have released one EP and four full-length studio albums. The band initially gained a wide audience after their debut CD, On Frail Wings of Vanity and Wax, which showcased a musical style combining light and heavy sounds and a diversity of influences, ranging from metal to classic rock. Alesana’s most recent album, A Place Where The Sun Is Silent, released in 2011, was inspired by the themes of the epic poem, “The Inferno,” by Dante and features string quartets, horns, choirs and narratives. The band is looking forward to bringing that theatrical intensity to the Inked Tour.
"Hello boys and girls! I am very pleased and elated to announce that Alesana will be headlining the Inked Magazine Tour this fall,” said Alesana singer/guitarist Shawn Milke. “It has been way too
long since we have seen your smiling faces and what better way to do it than to hit the road and do what we do best. In addition to bringing some very close friends of ours along for the ride we will also be playing material that spans our entire career as well as unleashing a surprise or two. Don't be the one who is stuck hearing about this amazing tour from your friends. Get your butts online, order your tickets, and come experience the story for yourself. We will see you at the rock show!”
Rakovic said, “Thanks to confluence of Inked, House of Blues and Alesana devotees, every stop on The Inked Magazine Music Tour Featuring Alesana will be the raddest house party of the season, “I can’t wait to see all the cool tattoos onstage and in the pit.”
Tickets go on sale Friday, July 13. More information about tickets and shows may be obtained by visiting www.houseofblues.com
