“Punk: Chaos to Couture” Exhibit

Sid Vicious may have been a bass player, but he was also an unintentional fashion icon. The punk movement of the late 1970s and early 1980s has been one of the biggest influences on western popular culture, not just in the music world, but in the fashion world, too. The Metropolitan Museum of Art in New York City is hosting a brand new exhibit called Punk: Chaos to Couture. It’s only open to the public for one more month, so you better see it before it’s gone forever on August 14th. Watch how the world of CBGB’s, The Sex Pistols, and the DIY attitude have influenced renowned designers like Vivienne Westwood, Alexander McQueen, and Givenchy throughout the last forty years.
