Don’t Waste My Breath
About this tattoo
I have a lung condition called Cystic Fibrosis. The average life expectancy for some with Cystic Fibrosis is late 30’s, but many don’t live past 25.
The first friend I ever made with CF, Alyssa, had two sparrows on both sides of her chest. She passed away in 2011 at 23 years old.
Another friend who was very dear to me had a gear/mechanical theme on his arm, along with “Don’t Waste My Breath” across his side. He passed away 2 years after a lung transplant in 2012 at 24 years old.
I combined the two ideas, making them into a mechanical sparrow, along with his quote ” Don’t Waste My Breath” in the banner. A tribute to the impact the two made on my life in the short years they were here. Breathe Easy.
