Geisha, dragon, Japanese
About this tattoo
First of all my brother, Rick Godsey, who has been a professional tattoo artist in Arizona at club tattoo for over 17 years, and now at Damaged Ink in Arizona, was the one to do my half sleeve. For me the geisha is beautiful, misrepresented, mysterious yet amazing. She represents me and the hard times I had. The dragon represents my husband and how he has protected me and our small but growing family. He took a broken woman and made me see what love really is (Geisha). Through all the trauma that I endoured he saw past the flaws and made me whole again. It’s not finished yet. The Cherry blossoms show the beauty that has been forgotten around us. They also represent, to me, the hardship of trying to get pregnant with our first child. They each have a different color, which for me is a family member who has passed. In the middle between the geisha and the dragon is a congi meaning “family”. My husband (dragon) is the protection for our family and me (geisha).
