Throughout the year, but especially during the holiday season, it's important to remember to be kind and courteous to retail workers. Retail workers face plenty of bullshit from angry customers—whether it be in a clothing store, fast-food establishment, supermarket or convenience store. Dozens of stories have emerged over the years featuring customers from hell and a number of memes have developed that mock your typical "I want to speak with your manager," people. However, this woman may take the cake for being the biggest brat on the internet and you won't believe what she did to two innocent cashiers at a New York 7-Eleven establishment. Take a look at the gallery below to see the chaos erupt in just a few short seconds and let us know your thoughts on the viral video in the comments section on Facebook.
Home of the Slurpee and the Big Gulp, 7-Eleven has been an American treasure for almost 100 years. Established in 1927, the convenience store has over 66.5K locations around the world—including 14 countries throughout Asia. In fact, since 2005 7-Eleven has been owned by Seven-Eleven Japan Co., Ltd—with headquarters in Chiyoda, Tokyo. However, despite its international enterprises, this convenience store remains a facet of American popular culture and ranked 11th on Supermarket New's "Top 75 North American Food Retailers," raking in an approximate $15 billion in sales.
And despite offering low prices and and a flexible set of hours to their customers, not every consumer leaves their local 7-Eleven with a smile. This was certainly the case for an unnamed woman who purchased three iced coffees in Mastic, Long Island on August 30th.
Surveillance footage captured her interaction with two cashiers, in which the woman quickly becomes upset with the employees while on the phone. And according to the Suffolk county police, who were called shortly after the incident, she poured the coffees onto the counter because she was upset by the price.
It's been estimated that her actions cost over $200 in damage to the cigarettes on the counter and the police were offering $5,000 cash reward to anyone who could come forward with tips on the incident. Take a look at the video below to watch the coffee catastrophe in action.
