GALLERY OF CALLY-JO'S WORK BELOW THE TEXT
The HTC INK campaign begins with the company’s HTC One M9 model and will offer limited edition phones that will feature custom-designed, body-art-inspired engravings. HTC states that the debut design, which can be seen in the gallery below, had fashion model Jourdan Dunn team up with British tattoo artist Cally-Jo Pothecary to “come up with a design that encapsulated her feelings about a new direction in her life, her excitement over upcoming creative projects, and the opportunity to partner with us to express her personal style.”
Cally-Jo developed quite the reputation when Rihanna flew her from England to the Dominican Republic to tattoo the pop star’s hand. Rihanna became a fan after seeing Cally-Jo's designs on Instagram. Flip through the gallery below to see some of her best work, and read our interview with her here.
In HTC’s announcement, the company explains the meaning behind the Pothecary/Dunn collaboration. “The open hand and eye symbolize the need for protection and strength while still being open and approachable in personality and style. The natural leaf elements and patterns around the outside of each visual reflect the growth in creativity that Jourdan is feeling at this time, and the sun and moon together represent balance and harmony in her character.”
