Some Say, “You Are What You Eat!”
Gross! Well, yeah, however it appears that the addition of this "crimson spice" is not intended to enhance the taste or add to its gourmet appeal. Instead, the motive behind women including menstrual blood into their lover’s food has a much more sinister intention.
Menstrual blood and a woman’s period hold an odd and controversial place in many cultures — East and West and Middle East. However, since women make up roughly 50% of the world’s population, you would expect a much more liberal and accepting attitude toward all-things-menstruation. Unfortunately, that’s not the case and most things that have to do with a women’s cycle is still taboo which makes this story even more bizarre.
