Nicki Minaj and Taylor Swift may or may not have "Bad Blood." Minaj reacted to the release of MTV's 2015 Video Music Awards nominations on Twitter, annoyed that "Anaconda" was not in the running for Video of the Year. Instead, Swift, Beyonce, Ed Sheeran, Kendrick Lamar, and Mark Ronson ft. Bruno Mars got the vote. While "Anaconda" is up for Best Female Video (against Swift, Beyonce, Sia, and Ellie Goulding) as well as Best Hip Hop Video (against Fetty Wap, Kendrick Lamar, Wiz Khalifa ft. Charlie Puth, and Big Sean ft. E-40), she voiced her opinion via Twitter, "If your video celebrates women with very slim bodies, you will be nominated for vid of the year." Swift took the tweet to heart and responded, "I've done nothing but love & support you. It's unlike you to pit women against each other. Maybe one of the men took your slot.." For the entire Twitter exchange, see below.
Minaj also called out MTV on Instagram for failing to nominate she and Beyonce's "Feeling Myself" video, "Lol u guys did we miss the deadline?? #MTV?" This social conversation has the potential to trigger all sorts of political upsets. In conclusion, the 2015 VMAs will be an award show for the ages... could a 2009 Kanye interrupt all over again? We'll be watching.
In honor of the minor feud, we've rounded up some of Nicki's sexiest selfies from pasties to pajamas because she's always a winner in our book, as are all the contenders. See the gorgeous, curvy gallery at the end of the Twitter tales.
