Better than Pilates!

Yoga! This ancient practice originating in India incorporates a person getting in touch and disciplining themselves physically, mentally and spiritually. Although practiced with the reverence of a religion, yoga at times has fallen victim to pop culture fads; take for instance, the 1990s introduction of hip hop yoga.
Despite all the bizarre configurations yoga may have gone through, there is one thing that never the core yoga is about mind and body becoming one. Well, I guess that would certainly explain why some people feel it is easier to achieve a higher plane within their yoga experience by being completely naked while executing Vriksasana...the tree pose.
So, for all you people who are a fan of yoga or naked girls doing yoga, enjoy!

"It's not about doing the downward dog naked... it's about self-acceptance, stepping out of the comfort zone and cultivating courage. I'd say it's a catalyst. Nude yoga is such a courageous thing to do but when these women leave my classes, they feel comfortable in their own skin,” said Rees, as reported by the Daily Mail UK.

"Women are very hard on themselves but when they walk into this beautiful space, they learn how to feel like to be an acceptance of their body. Particularly mothers who have children - their bodies change so much. It's amazing for them to have gratitude for their body by the end of the class,” Rees tells the Daily Mail UK.

Age is not a factor and women of all ages partake. Rees says that recently she has seen an influx of older woman signing up. "There are also women in their 60s and 70s embracing their bodies. We have women of all ages joining. They either want to try something different, make changes in their lives or tick it off their bucket list,” says Rees.

"We do meditation, everyone talks about why they are here - the stories are very healing - and then we do a one hour nude yoga session. If you have body image issues or a repulsion about coming in, these classes will help you overcome these challenges.”

Rees says, "The first time I did naked yoga, I felt insecure and judgmental about my own body. I felt embarrassed, uncomfortable and shameful. But the more I did it, the more comfortable I felt in my own skin. I realized how much impact this would bring to a group setting.”

Just four years ago, Rees was working in a corporate office when she decided to quit her job and open her own yoga studio. "I've become a happier, more calm and relaxing person. Yoga has helped every aspect of my life. It even kicked my bad habits like drinking and smoking. I get a natural high from yoga,” said Rees.
